There are many great ways to get involved and share optimism. Contact your elected officials and let them know you
appreciate them when they make appropriate decisions and encourage them to continue their good work.

CoatsForKids KC

 

Join NewsRadio 980 KMBZ and share in the spirit of the holidays with “Coats for Kids” 2009.  This winter thousands of children in the Kansas City area have outgrown their coat, have a worn out coat or no coat at all to wear.

Last year with your help we collected nearly 10,000 coats. This year we hope to collect even more.  Drop off your coats at any Pride Cleaners location now through December 11th.  The coats will be dry cleaned and distributed to the children in the Kansas City Missouri, Kansas City Kansas, Independence and Hickman Mills School Districts.  Together we can make a difference!!

“Let’s Make a Movie” is an after school program that takes Kansas City’s urban youth, between the ages of 10 and 16, through the entire movie-making process. The group of 14 kids brainstorm an idea, create characters, improvise dialog, and write a story. They participate in breakout acting exercises, audition for parts, and are cast in the roles they themselves created!
