Here is a great example of someone using their time and resources to help others:
Fertile Ground is a non-profit organization founded by Darnell Self and Michael Humes. Fertile Ground was established to allow others to experience the power of giving....for true abundance comes from giving back!
For many years they have been contributing their time, money, and knowledge throughout North America and abroad. As they have travelled around the world many people have expressed an interest in wanting to help others. By making a donation to Fertile Ground, you are helping to impact lives across the world.
Darnell & Michael have also helped to feed, clothe, educate and empower the homeless for many years. They have provided school supplies for children in local communities as well as the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Together with your support we are able to provide so much more. No donation is too small or too large. Together, we can all impact the world. Make a giving decision with an organization you can trust!

(Olathe, KS) |
TLC was founded in 1972 to fulfill an unmet need in the Kansas City community, a need for an emergency shelter for abused and neglected children from infancy through age 12. Prior to the establishment of TLC, many children were inappropriately placed in costly hospitals. Through the years, TLC has expanded its services to children in crisis to further our mission. The mission of TLC is to provide opportunities that encourage positive growth and change for children, youth and families while ensuring a safe environment. TLC strives for the preservation and healing of families by providing services, to the extent allowed by our resources, that compliment existing community services while maintaining responsiveness to changing community needs. |
